American Cup At The FitExpo

The 2027 USPA Tested and Open American Cup takes place January 23-24, 2027 at the Los Angeles Convention Center South Hall. Full Power, Bench Only, and Deadlift Only entries are available in Raw, Classic Raw, and Single Ply categories.

The American Cup is scheduled across two lifting days, with lifters grouped by weight class. There are no same-day weigh-ins under any circumstances.

Full Power, Bench Only, Deadlift Only

Categories: Raw, Classic Raw, and Single Ply. Tested division drug testing is by urinalysis, with a 10% targeted random selection based on the top Dots scores.

Awards

Awards By Division

Open1st-3rd place in each weight class.
Junior13-15, 16-17, 18-19, and 20-23: 1st-3rd place in each weight class and age group.
Submaster35-39: 1st-3rd place in each weight class.
Master40-44, 45-49, etc.: 1st-3rd place in each weight class and age group.
Best LifterAwards given to each qualified lifter with 5 or more competitors in their class.
Registration Closes January 8, 2027

Limited To 50 Lifters Per Day

Weigh-ins for Saturday lifters are Friday, January 22, 2027 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Weigh-ins for Sunday lifters are Saturday, January 23, 2027 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. No same-day weigh-ins under any circumstances.

Event schedule: Warmup at 8:00 am. Lifting begins at 9:00 am.
Refund policy: No refunds. Transfers are allowed only to another local meet directed by Steve Denison in CA or NV up to December 2027. Transfers do not include Nationals or any major event such as Nationals, Worlds, or the Olympia.
