USPA Referees are the backbone of powerlifting meets and no competition is possible without their commitment. The USPA recognizes State, National and International referee standings, with each status representing a level of specialization.
The written exam consists of a 100 question open-book exam with questions covering the USPA Rulebook. The State referee level requires a practical exam in which you will sit with a National or International level Referee during a meet and adjudicate a full competition.
We highly advise that candidates read the USPA Rulebook completely before taking the test. To pass the exam, a candidate must score at least 90% on each the written and practical portion.
